SOURCES 2 – the source of quality scripts in Europe

SOURCES 2 is an advanced training programme for European film professionals working in the field of script and story development, and offers workshops all over Europe for international participants, who are guided by international advisers.

SOURCES 2 supports indigenous stories of interest to an international audience and contributes to a high standard of scriptwriting and script development in Europe.

SOURCES 2 workshops are high-powered work units for scriptwriters and teams of writers and co-writers, directors or producers with a specific film project in development. Two types of workshops are offered: SOURCES 2 Script Development Workshops and SOURCES 2 compact.

SOURCES 2 is more than mere training; its unique mentoring approach has proven to be extremely successful and has helped to bring scores of European films to the screen. More than 90 films have been made and a remarkable number of feature and creative documentary projects are in (pre-)production. SOURCES 2 offers access to an international network which includes film professionals from 25 countries.

SOURCES 2 has developed an additional training scheme for mentors: SOURCES 2 Projects & Process – Training Mentors for European Scriptwriters and Documentary Filmmakers is an intense programme which makes the SOURCES 2 mentoring approach and methodology transparent to professionals such as scriptwriters, dramaturges, developers, editors, producers, commissioning editors and tutors.

Between 1992 and 2011 the SOURCES Programme realised more than 70 workshops in 19 European countries, supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Community and its partners, who represent public and private organisations throughout Europe.

Stichting SOURCES is a Dutch Foundation registered in Amsterdam/The Netherlands. SOURCES 2 operates from Berlin and Amsterdam.
