Feature film applications include either a treatment together with two or three sample scenes or a script at an early development stage. Feature film projects means drama in a wider sense, including specific genres such as comedy, literary adaptation, biopic or historical drama etc. Special work groups concentrating on these genres as well as children’s film are offered occasionally. For more information please see dates + places. Creative documentary applications include a presentation at a basic stage of development and research, which clearly indicates a possible structure for the film (similar to the long synopsis or treatment stage in a drama project). Who and what is primarily going to be filmed should be presented; ideas about possible structures for the film must be evident; questions of access to vital places and participants should have already been addressed. Creative Documentary means authored films, projects which have a strong individual documentary voice. These are feature-length films suitable both for television-release and/or theatrical distribution. Television projects must be documentaries (no reportage or voice-over-driven factual films) of at least one television hour in length. Television documentary series or serial projects will only be considered if they are authored films and if each episode is one television hour long. Films or series which mix documentary, reconstruction and fiction are also eligible for application. In general, an established producer should be committed to the project submitted or development support from national funding bodies should be in place (or other kinds of support granted). SOURCES 2 compact concentrates on a specific genre or format, such as short films or mini-series for television. See separate announcements for details. Applications include a treatment or a presentation at a basic stage of development. |
