Sources 2 Script Development Workshops

10 years partnership of Sources 2 / FilmCamp!

Special Guests: Jasmila Žbanić, Michel Reilhac, Paul Tyler

We are proud to celebrate the anniversary of our partnership with FilmCamp in Norway, started in 2006! For the 10th time a Sources 2 Script Development Workshop will be realised with the support and cooperation of FilmCamp AS, an internationally operating regional Film Fund and production centre in Northern Norway, offering a funding scheme, professional support and infrastructure for films shot in the region as well as educational activities.

The session will take place from 9 to 17 June 2016. The venue will be FilmCamp where all participants, advisers and guests will be accommodated.

The workshop will gather participants, mentors and guests from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Fifteen feature film and creative documentary projects have been selected for participation.Writers, directors and producers will develop their projects and receive professional training, working in three groups led by Gualberto Ferrari (France/Argentina), Miguel Machalski (France/ Argentina) and Michael Seeber (Austria). The seven-day session will be followed by a coached three-month re-writing period and a follow-up session. 

The supplementary programme will feature the following guests:

Paul Tyler – Creative Tools
The visionary developer, consultant and mentor from the United Kingdom will illuminate new approaches. Applying his concept Handling Ideas, Paul will work with each of the groups and provide creative tools and individual advice.

Michel Reilhac – Virtual Reality
The French thought-leader for hybrid forms of storytelling, pioneer in Virtual Reality filming and interactive story architect will introduce new paradigms and share his research on Presence design and spatial writing in Virtual Reality.

Christina Schneider-Siemon – Hands-on Session
The German creativity and communication expert and coach will challenge participants with practical exercises. How to unlock Creativity.
– Sunday, 12 June 2016 / 18:00 – 19:30

Jasmila Žbanić – Sources of Inspiration
Our guest of honour, the internationally awarded writer/director from Bosnia-Herzegovina will lecture about her Sources of Inspiration, illustrated by her current feature film project as a work-in-progress case study. Jasmila's Grbavica (2006, Golden Bear IFF Berlin) will be one of her films to be screened during the workshop. The lecture will be followed by a cocktail offered by Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Norway.
