The workshop will be held  in the surroundings of Warsaw, 31 May – 5 June 2019. Eighteen highly qualified professionals have been selected for participation. The workshop will assemble participants, mentors and guests of sixteen nationalities, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

Internationally acclaimed Sources 2 advisers Louise Gough (Australia), Eric Collins (France) and Arash T. Riahi (Austria/Iran) will guide through the workshop sessions for colleagues who wish to expand and refine their approach and methods as mentors, experience the Sources 2 projects and process philosophy and improve their skills in transferring knowledge, encouraging creative processes, enhancing efficient communication and productive collaboration. The session in Poland will be followed by a two-month coaching period.

Paul Tyler – Creative Tools
Applying his concept Map Story Logic, the consultant and mentor from the United Kingdom will guide a case study providing creative tools and illuminating new approaches.

Peter Delpeut – Documentary
The documentary expert from the Netherlands will guide sessions revealing specifics when mentoring documentary filmmakers and share his experience as a mentor.

The programme includes an event open to local professionals:

Caterina d’Amico – Open Lecture: Mentor – A Servant Of Two Masters
Caterina will share her 30-year experience in mentoring writers and directors, considering two different points of view: Her role of an educator as Head of Studies at the Italian National Film School when she saw her duty not only in helping students to become filmmakers, but also helping them grow in a much broader sense. And, her position as CEO of a major production company with the goal to incite writers and directors to make the best and most successful movie. The function was the same with all its similarities and differences – but the aim was different. Still, both approaches show the same starting point: A deep respect for the courage, engagement and generosity of anybody who takes on the challenge of making a film.

Caterina’s lecture will be followed by a networking reception for participants and local film professionals hosted by Creative Europe Desk Poland – MEDIA.

Monday, 3 June 2019, lecture 18:00 – 19:30, networking reception 19:30 – 20:30
Venue: Wajda School and Studio, ul. Chełmska 21, bud. 24, 00-724 Warsaw
