Karol Griffiths – Mentor’s Approaches
The script editor, supervisor, development consultant and mentor will lecture about a crucial theme, based on her 20-year experience of work in the US and in Europe:
Breaking the surface – navigating writers to the deep...
Techniques to vitalise writers and creative authenticity.

With all the social media, tons of networks and fast transmission
– it's too easy to skim the surface of a story and accept that as good 'enough.' Often writers aren't clear about why they are writing something and so the outcome is overly vague or has plot holes... By navigating to the deep questions are answered and the story fills out becoming far more interesting and three-dimensional.
Karol Griffiths worked with the Coen Brothers (The Big Lebowski, Hudsucker Proxy) and Steven Spielberg, for companies and studios such as Warner Brothers, Universal, Disney, Paramount and Fox Studios. Recent credits include the BBC Writers Room and the Literary Consultancy in London. Karol’s lecture will be followed by a networking reception for participants and local film professionals, hosted by Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Austria.
Friday, 20 October 2017, lecture 18:00 – 19:30, networking reception 19:30 – 20:30
