We are proud to announce Sources 2 Projects & Process – Training Mentors for European Screenwriters and Filmmakers ONLINE, 3 – 8 November 2020.

The workshop will be realised with the support of of the National Film Centre of Latvia and Creative Europe MEDIA.

Eighteen highly qualified professionals have been selected for participation. The workshop will assemble participants, mentors and guests of sixteen nationalities: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Ireland, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, US.

Internationally acclaimedSources 2 advisers Louise Gough (Australia), Karol Griffiths (UK/US) and Arash T. Riahi (Austria/Iran) will guide through the workshop sessions for colleagues who wish to expand and refine their approach and methods as mentors, experience the Sources 2 projects and process philosophy and improve their skills in transferring knowledge, encouraging creative processes, enhancing efficient communication and productive collaboration. The session will be followed by a two-month coaching period.

Paul Tyler – Creative Tools
Applying his concept Map Story Logic, the consultant and mentor from the United Kingdom will guide a case study providing creative tools and illuminating new approaches.

Petri Kemppinen – Lecture: Open Up To Me
Based on his 30-year career, Petri will speak about the relationship of mentor and mentee and his vast experience in story development:

“My lecture will tackle writer´s fears of exposing his/her project as a writer – including ownership – and mentor´s ways of building trust as a mentor – including asking the why questions. I will try to explore different paths towards the off beaten track of finding and clarifying the premises of the story without losing the way back.”

Petri was the CEO at Nordisk Film & TV Fond (2013-2019), he served at The Finnish Film Foundation (2005-2013) and worked for YLE.
