Training Mentors for European Screenwriters

We are proud to offer a workshop in Bavaria for the first time! Our upcoming workshop Sources 2 Projects & Process – Training Mentors for European Screenwriters will be realised with the support of The Bavarian State Chancellery.

The session will take place in Herrsching at Lake Ammersee, 18 – 22 October 2013. The venue will be the Haus der bayerischen Landwirtschaft Herrsching where everyone will be accommodated.

Fifteen highly qualified professionals have been selected for participation. Internationally acclaimed Sources 2 advisers Ruth McCance (Sweden/Northern Ireland), Arash T. Riahi (Austria/Iran) and Michael Seeber (Austria) will guide the sessions aimed at colleagues who wish to expand and refine their methods as mentors, experience the Sources 2 projects and process philosophy and explore the rules and non-rules. The session in Bavaria will gather participants, experts and guests from Austria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Finland, Iran, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Romania, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The workshop programme will include both sessions with small groups as well as general meetings. In the opening session Sources 2 chairman Rolf Orthel will present a keynote, The Recipe.

The programme will be completed by lectures and case studies open to the local film professionals:

Michael Seeber – Philosophical Approach
The lecture San-Sheng Meets Yang-Shan Or The Art Of Mentoring will illuminate a different angle.
– Saturday, 19 October 2013, 18:00 – 19:00

Paul Tyler – Creative Tools
Handling Ideas: Getting The Stories Out Of The Heads And Onto The Table
The visionary developer, consultant and mentor, will provide creative tools when actively involving all participants in case studies. The session will be followed by a MEDIA presentation and reception hosted by MEDIA Antenna Munich.
– Sunday, 20 October 2013, 17:00 – 19:30
