Sources 2 Projects & Process 2015 in Bavaria

Mentors' Training in Bavaria/Germany

We are pleased to announce our upcoming Sources 2 Projects & Process –
Training Mentors for European Screenwriters and Filmmakers in Bavaria/Germany.
The workshop will be realised with the support of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology.

The session will take place in Herrsching at Lake Ammersee, 16 – 21 October 2015. The venue will be Haus der bayerischen Landwirtschaft Herrsching where everyone will be accommodated.

Internationally acclaimed Sources 2 advisers Louise Gough (Australia), Arash T. Riahi (Austria/Iran) and Michael Seeber (Austria) will guide small group and plenary sessions for colleagues who wish to expand and refine their approach and methods as mentors, experience the Sources 2 projects and process philosophy and improve their skills in transferring knowledge, encouraging creative processes, enhancing efficient communication and productive collaboration.

Seventeen highly qualified professionals have been selected for participation.
The workshop will gather participants, experts and guests from Australia, Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania and the United Kingdom.

Rolf Orthel – Philosophical Reflections
Once More, With Feeling OR Make / Analyse / Discover.
The documentary filmmaker, producer and mentor from the Netherlands will open the workshop in his role of Sources 2 chairman with a keynote.

Paul Tyler – Creative Tools
Applying his concept Handling Ideas, the consultant and mentor from the United Kingdom will provide creative tools and illuminate new approaches. Exclusively for participants.

The programme will be completed by lectures open to the local film professionals.

Vinca Wiedemann – Mentor’s Challenge
Mentoring: The Art of Asking the Right Questions and Shutting up at the Right Time.
The internationally renowned Danish screenwriter, story supervisor, consultant, editor, producer and since 2014 Rector of the National Film School of Denmark, will give a lecture based on her broad experience as a mentor. Her credits include Susanne Bier's In a Better World (Oscar winner) and Love Is All You Need, Thomas Vinterberg's The Hunt and Lars von Trier’s Melancholia and Nymphomaniac.
The lecture will be followed by a networking reception for participants and local film professionals, hosted by Creative Europe Desk Munich.

Eric Collins – Historical Review
Evolution or Full Circle? 1915 – 2015, A Century of Screenwriting Lessons.
The French writer, experienced consultant and Sources 2 mentor will explore how screenwriting processes and the relevant teaching/consulting/mentoring developed over the past century.
– Monday, 19 October 2015, 18:00 – 19:30

During the following two months participants are invited to stay in touch with each other and the advisers, exchanging experience and receiving mutual advice.
Sources 2 Projects & Process will conclude with a round-off.
